The Sunday Service

Going to church services on Sunday is all part of the Christian lifestyle and culture, but for some of them it is, unfortunately, no more than routine and for others just a necessary duty.

They say, the objective in going to church is to seek to build our relationship with God and others. Many people go to church to fulfil an obligation through some ritual and so are reduced to actions without meaning. Church worship is all about an encounter with God and others that changes who we are.

Most Romanians are Christians Orthodox. Christians typically go to church on Sunday, because Jesus was raised from the dead on a Sunday morning. The resurrection is extremely important for Christians.

Going to church on Sunday has a tremendous importance of Christ’s resurrection for the Christian faith that Christians worship on Sunday, the day that God raised Jesus from the dead.

The Romanians are always seeking to preserve their traditions in many directions, especially when it comes to religion. Not many people are still preserving them; it is only in the countryside where you can still see this tradition kept with a careful attention from a young age to an older age.

This project is about preserving the country’s tradition in religion and throughout my images I try to understand the connection between the people and their beliefs.
